The Kalkaska Moose Lodge is part of an international organization of men and women, dedicated to caring for young (Mooseheart) and old (Moosehaven), bringing communities closer together and celebrating life.
In the US, the Moose membership is over 1,000,000 members in 1500 communities in all 50 states. The Moose organization contributes between $75 and $100 million worth of community service annually. A Mooseheart child School is located in West Chicago and a Moosehaven senior retirement community is provided for in Jacksonville Florida. The Kalkaska Moose contributes funds to the larger international organization as well as to local area Kalkaska organizations in need of assistance.
